* Pitta is described as ‘Agni’(fire) as its functions resemble that of fire, like burning, digestion and transformation.
* The functions of pitta can be attributed to those of digestion, assimilation,thermo-genesis and metabolism.

PITTA PERSON QUALITIES:-
1) Well built and of a medium and sturdy countenance.
2) Calves and Arm muscles are usually well developed and the skin is radiant, though some pitta types may have acne problems even past their teens.
3) Pitta person’s skin is often sun-sensitive. Skin turns red when blushing or with sun exposure.
4) Their hair has a tendency to become oily soon and also tend to grey faster.
5) Pitta people sleep well through out the night but can get uncomfortable in hot weather.
6) Pitta people are of very decisive nature. Their loud and strong voice helps them excel in areas that call for leadership roles.
7) They are short tempered and abrasive. They tend to enjoy competitive sports and have fairly good stamina.
