Short Profile on ARCOT SHRI G LAKSHMANAN MUDALIAR
Born in 1950 from an average background family. His parents are A.Govindaraj Mudaliar & Yasodha Ammal. His father started his life by working in an Indian Wholesale drug shop. Gradually he had developed his interest in traditional Indian Medicine.
He started his own shop in the 1960s in Park town Chennai and ran successfully. Subsequently, due to family &other circumstances, his father couldn’t run the shop and the shop went on debts.
Shri G.Lakshmanan Mudaliar discontinued his education and shouldered the responsibilities of his father & brothers. At the age of 16, he has learned the business of Indian Traditional Raw Drugs & medicines, his interest in this field grew every day. He was fascinated by the white coat during his supply of raw drugs in Government medical college & Anna Hospitals, Chennai. He dreamt of being a doctor and achieved the same with his son Dr. Saravanan Lakshmanan.
He improved the families financial status and later got married. He has one son and two daughters. He had dedicated his life for this work and settled all the brothers children’s education and marriages. He never lived for himself. Though he had all comforts, he only used public transport till the end which reveals his simplicity. He had a very good ground approach towards his clients and vendors. That was his secret mantra of success. He developed his business well. Due to repeated medical ailments, he passed away on 28th December 2016. In his remembrance ALM company was started by his son and daughter-in-law
1st ALM AYUSH centre was started in Kilpauk (Chennai) in 2019.
The Founder was an Allopathic Specialist – Dr.Saravanan Lakshmanan with 25+ expertise in Healthcare
His Father and forefathers are Govt Suppliers, Indian raw drugs & Country Drug Merchants for the past 3 Generations.
Dr.Saravanan has keen interest in creating awareness & promoting Indian Traditional medicines to common public across the country & worldwide
He realised how beneficial Ayurveda / Siddha / Yoga is in treating chronic lifestyle diseases.
He also understood either AYUSH or Allopathy when practised individually or independently has lesser benefits & when they are combined together in the same patient, which is named as Integrative Medicine has synergistic benefits and best outcomes to the patients.
Dr,Saravanan has a long vision of spreading Ayurveda & AYUSH with a chain of centres and Integrative Hospitals across TN/ South India & Nationwide.
He also took keen interest in learning the Ayurveda Herbs & Therapies.In a way to provide high quality and standarised AYUSH products, he has initiated his own brand of Ayurveda herbs supplements. All ALM products are manufactured by WHO GMP certified units and it strictly follows all Government regulation and guidelines.
In 2021, Dr.Saravanan has realised Integrative Medicine is the future of Healthcare. He dedicated himself exclusively to create awareness in this new medical field among the public.
As a consequence ALM ( AYUSH facilities & AYUSH regd Doctors ) & GSSSS (Modern medicine clinics with regd Allopathic Doctors) opened on the same roof. He has opened ALM AYUSH / GSSSS Clinics in new 4 locations in 2022 in Chennai ( Kotturpuram, Ambattur, OMR,ECR)
Now ALM has completed 5 years since its inception and successfully treated 6000+ patients.
As a gesture to encourage the public to avail AYUSH treatments, all ALM branches are approved by Insurance companies for cashless and reimbursement facilities through Domiciliary Day care treatments.
